Since you’ll be working in the Systems Engineering team…
You have advanced experience with Linux, Networks and Kubernetes;
You’re ready to contribute with coding skills as well;
You are passionate about infrastructure as code;
You have a bias to automate things whenever possible;
You know how to keep a service available and performant while growing;
You know how to monitor services and find problems within infrastructures;
You can manage NoSQL database clusters like MongoDB and Redis;
What do we offer?
An Empowered Team – Engineering owns tech debt and tech improvement decisions; we collaborate tightly with our product team but we’re all very mindful not to step on each other’s toes. We own technical decisions, take responsibility and are accountable for them.
Preventive culture, rather than reactive – While some of us participate in on call activities, we have a very low amount of actual production emergencies. A lot of energy goes into fixing root causes and we are very proud of not having anyone in firefighting mode.

We are currently looking for a working student to join our MENA team in different capacities. This is an opportunity to work with a group of young professionals in the heart of Berlin where creativity and out of the box-thinking are highly encouraged and sought after.
You have a thorough understanding of our product
You are currently studying and willing to work at the Berlin office
You are passionate about social media and its socio-cultural implications
You are a fast and avid learner
You can work independently and approach problem-solving creatively
Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is a must (specifically dialects of the Gulf and the Middle East - knowledge in North African dialects not required)
You have excellent English communication skills
Monitor and assess jodel content in the MENA region
Assist in tackling the different region-specific challenges and issues
Engage in community management and education
Help with Arabic support tasks
